Coal Burning Fireplace Inserts

Improve the heat emitted from your fireplace with a coal burining fireplace insert.

Make a coal fireplace or insert a wise addition to your home.

Most coal stoves are designed to burn Anthracite coal, also known as "hard coal".  Anthracite burns with little smoke and is considered a smokeless fuel for use in both domestic and industrial applications. Anthracite coal comes in a variety of sizes. The proper size of coal you need is noted in the instructions of our Fireplace Inserts.

Proper maintenance and cleaning is required for proper and efficient fireplace insert operation. Coal contains about 12% ash content, which must be removed from the insert periodically. Coal suppliers wash the coal multiple times to eliminate the dirt buildup and amount of ash. Coal is not the dirty mess it used to be.
